Cape Fox Eagle Health LLC is accepting resumes for a
Registered Nurse
to provide medical and counseling services at the National
Institute of Health Occupational Medical Service (OMS) Department located in Bethesda, Maryland.
The total hourly pay for this non-exempt position is $48.09 which is comprised of a base hourly rate of $43.00plus $5.09per hour Health & Welfare (H&W) for up to 40 hours per week as required by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCLS) regulations.
The above rate represents the company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. This job will be posted until filled or withdrawn.
- Ability toworkwithinamulti-disciplinary team to perform initial assessment, treatment and counseling of occupational injuries and illness and mental health crises and make referrals to internal and external providers related to injury or illness when necessary.
- Provideproperdocumentationandeducation about workers compensation and work restrictionsfollowinganaccidentorillness.
- Assistinimplementinghealthpromotionactivitieswithinthe NIHcommunity.
- Independentlyconductpre-placement medical evaluations to include vital signs, hearing/vision testing and EKG’s.
- Enrollandeducateemployeesinappropriatemedicalsurveillanceprograms(animalexposureprogram,tuberculosis,andbiologicalsuretyprogram).
- Strongworkingknowledgeofprovidingpatienteducationandtreatmenttoemployeeswhomay exposedtobloodbornepathogens.
- Provideworkrelatedimmunizations,includinginternationaltravelimmunizationsandcounselingto NIHemployees.
- Managetriagetelephonecallsandwalk-patientsinaprofessionalandwithquickassessmentskills.
- Nursewillbecrosstrainedforcoverageinsatelliteclinicin Frederick and Baltimore .
- Performinitialevaluationandtriagingmedicalemergencies.
- Assist in the clinical care proved for medical the clinical care provided for medical emergencies to include wound care, medication administration, phlebotomy, EKG’s and BGM.
- ReviewandreviseallsectionsoftheOMSproceduremanualannually.
- Participateinqualityimprovementactivities andnursetrainingandstaff meetings.
- WorkwithOMSPhysiciansand
Advanced Practice Providers on new OMS initiatives.

Job Requirements- Experience:
Two years of postgraduate clinical experience as a RN or LPN providing direct patient care and ability to draw and process blood samples. - Graduate from a college or university accredited by National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). With a degree in Associate’s Degree in Nursing OR Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) - Licensed as an RN in any state with a full, active, and unrestricted license.
- Knowledge of worker’s compensation and possess practical knowledge of OSHA guidelines.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
