HJF is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant I to perform data collection by conducting research interviews. The role includes recruiting and screening subjects for research studies and collecting baseline and follow-up data from subjects.
This position will support a new study on the diagnosis of PTSD comparing the Clinician Administered PTSD Scale for DSM‑5 (CAPS‑5) with an artificial intelligence (AI) avatar for initial diagnosis and post‑intervention assessment. The work will be conducted within the Division of Military Internal Medicine, Department of Medicine at Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, MD, under the direction of Dr. Michael J.
Roy, MD, MPH. Additionally, the role will support recruitment, enrollment, and coordination of participants in current active PTSD therapy trials.
- Conduct research interviews and collect data.
- Recruit and screen study subjects.
- Collect baseline and follow‑up data, ensuring validity, accuracy, and compliance with quality assurance requirements.
- Establish and maintain database files and progress reports for studies, projects, and programs; may perform data analysis.
- Perform scientific literature searches, identification, and retrieval.
- Assist in the development and submission of grants, papers, abstracts, manuscripts, and protocol manuals; support field visits and respond to inquiries from individuals, institutions, and funding agencies.
- Prepare manuscripts, reports, and presentations, including editing and formatting.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed by the supervisor, including required training.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Science (e.g., Sociology, Psychology) or related field.
- Minimum of 0 to 2 years of related experience.
