The laboratory of Dr. Ramiro Iglesias-Bartolome of the National Cancer Institute is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow
About the positionOur research focuses on elucidating the signaling mechanisms that regulate tissue-specific stem cell self-renewal and differentiation, and how these processes contribute to tumor initiation and progression, using the skin as a model system. Prospective Postdoc will investigate how the differentiation state of cancer cells shapes the tumor microenvironment, with particular emphasis on immune cell recruitment and tumor immune evasion. Successful candidates will have access to state-of-the-art genomic, proteomic, and imaging technologies.
More information about the laboratory’s research and publications can be found at here and here , respectively.
Prospective applicants should have obtained a doctoral degree within the past two years and possess a strong background in cell biology, molecular biology, immunology, or a related field. Experience with mouse models, skin biology, cell signaling, immunology, cancer biology, or bioinformatics is desirable.
Disclaimer / Fine PrintU.S. citizens and permanent residents are eligible to apply. NIH welcomes foreign nationals with the exception of individuals from this list.
