Johns Hopkins, founded in 1876, is America's first research university and home to nine world-class academic divisions working together as one university.
The Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness Research is seeking a Research Data Analyst (RDA) to provide data analysis and related activities for various types of research projects and studies. This position will contribute to ongoing development, maintenance, and use of a research data pipeline that collects and analyzes data. The RDA will be responsible for processing, backup/storage, sharing, and overall stewardship of multi-modal data sources.
These sources include questionnaire data, electrophysiological recordings, social and wearable sensor data, and biospecimens. The RDA will coordinate with study staff to collect and manage data, senior staff to manage data stewardship, scientific trainees and faculty for reporting and data analysis, and both internal and external repositories and stakeholders for data transfer and sharing.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Collect data and generate reports and models.
- Run models, analyze model results, and prepare reports on the analysis.
- Conduct analyses in support of the assigned research project or study.
- Conduct statistical analyses utilizing standard and statistical software packages.
- Design and prepare tables to illustrate analytic findings.
- Manage or contribute to entry of data in the assigned database.
- May engage in other research related responsibilities.
- Experience with linux system administration preferred.
- Experience with time series analysis preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in R statistical programming.
- Perform other related duties as requested.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
- Three years of related experience.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

During the Influenza ("the flu") season, as a condition of employment, The Johns Hopkins Institutions require all employees who provide ongoing services to patients or work in patient care or clinical care areas to have an annual influenza vaccination or possess an approved medical or religious exception. Failure to meet this requirement may result in termination of employment.
The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination. This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing.
Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers. Any vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost in our Occupational Health office.
