Position Overview

Axle is seeking a Research Biologist to serve as a senior research scientist in the conduct and leadership of research focused on immunologic lung injury, using advanced molecular techniques — including next-generation sequencing, cell‑free DNA and cell‑free RNA analysis, and high‑density proteomics platforms — to support early diagnosis of lung injury, disease monitoring, and personalized treatment for patients who have or are at risk of serious lung disorders.

This role supports detection and analysis of novel molecular markers to help reduce patient morbidity and mortality from immunologic lung disease following human stem cell transplantation. A Master's degree in Biology, Immunology, or a relevant field is required, along with at least five years of relevant scientific experience, the ability to design experiments and analyze results with appropriate statistical analysis, and the ability to write methods and results sections for high‑quality scientific publications.
