Postdoctoral Research Fellow
The Intramural Continuing Umbrella of Research Experiences (iCURE) program offers recent college graduates, post-masters individuals, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows paid fellowships within the NCI intramural research program.
About the positioniCure scholars explore basic and clinical research, cancer epidemiology and genetics, cancer control science, and global health. Multi-level mentoring is core to iCURE, beginning at application and continuing throughout the experience. iCURE provides postdoctoral iCURE scholars:
- Research experience awards for up to three years
- Opportunities to work closely with world-class biomedical research scientists in the NCI
- Support by NCI program staff as well as information and resources on intramural and extramural funding opportunities
- Professional and career development activities
- Connection to an extensive and sustaining mentoring network
Participants in the iCURE program, or iCURE scholars, will enjoy research opportunities in the Center for Cancer Research (CCR), the Center for Global Health (CGH), the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics (DCEG) or the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS).
To be considered for the iCURE program, you must:
- Be a citizen, non-citizen national, or legal permanent resident of the United States.
- Have acquired a PhD, MD, or other equivalent degree by the proposed iCURE start time.
- Have completed no more than five years of relevant research experience since receipt of the most recent doctoral degree.
- Must be available for a 3-year fellowship to begin preferably by September 1, 2026 but no later than December 31, 2026.
