Congressional Country Club is seeking Seasonal / Full-Time Stewards / Dishwashers who understand that excellence in the kitchen begins with cleanliness, organization, and teamwork. Stewards play a vital role in supporting our culinary team by ensuring all kitchen equipment, china, flatware, and glassware are properly cleaned, sanitized, and ready for service.

• Wash all wares by hand or using commercial dishwashing equipment, following the highest sanitation standards
• Polish silverware, platters, and chafing dishes
• Collect trash from kitchen areas; empty, clean, and re‑line garbage containers; break down boxes and remove debris
• Inspect trash and dish areas to prevent loss of silverware, china, glassware, or other reusable items
• Clean and polish stainless steel surfaces throughout the kitchen, including shelves, cabinets, ice machines, refrigerators, walk‑ins, and coffee stations
• Clean receiving areas, trash rooms, and other kitchen‑related spaces
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors, ensuring they remain clean, dry, and free of debris
• Store dishes, glassware, and equipment in designated areas
• Clean and maintain dish machines and dish areas after each meal period
• Assist with additional tasks such as light food preparation, storing deliveries, and cleaning coolers, freezers, and storerooms
• Maintain inventory of soaps, chemicals, and paper products
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas safely
• Handle all china and glassware with care to minimize breakage
• Support weekly kitchen cleaning and maintenance checklists
• Properly clean and store all brooms, mops, and cleaning equipment

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
