Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Receiving & Inspection Associate to join our dynamic team. This role requires unwavering attention to detail, a discerning eye for quality, and an extensive knowledge of luxury retail items. A successful candidate will be responsible for receiving inbound shipments, conducting comprehensive quality inspections and authentication of luxury goods, and maintaining meticulous reporting of inventory. Reporting directly to the Operations Team Leader, you will work collaboratively with various teams across the organization to further the LePrix, Inc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently receive and manage inbound shipments, ensuring all items are accounted for and accurately reported.
  • Thoroughly inspect all incoming inventory for defects, damage, or counterfeit signs, following strict guidelines and standards.
  • Discerningly grade and categorize luxury goods based on their condition and quality.
  • Ensure the precise and timely input of received items data into the company's inventory management system.
  • Collaborate closely with the inventory team to resolve any discrepancies or issues with received shipments.
  • Generate insightful reports on received shipments, including variances and quality assessments.
  • Proactively collaborate with other teams to continuously improve the receiving and inspection processes.
  • Stay updated with trends and changes in the luxury retail market to aid in inspection and grading.
  • Utilize various technologies (computers, mobile devices, software, etc.) to carry‑out essential job duties on a daily basis.
  • Consistently meet or exceed key performance indicator benchmarks (units processed per day, margin of error/rate of accuracy, scanning, etc.) as established by leadership.
Minimum

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • High‑school diploma and/or successful completion of GED.
  • At least one year of retail, warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing experience.
  • Proficiency in using computers and various software applications.
  • Demonstrated success in a similar role or related field.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high accuracy in task execution.
  • General understanding of quality control procedures and standards.
  • Familiarity with various inventory management systems and generally‑accepted practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, ambiguous, and deadline‑driven environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Prior experience within the luxury goods industry.
  • In‑depth knowledge of luxury brands and their authentication methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and achieve goals.
  • Interest in growing in the field(s) of Operations, Supply Chain Management, Wholesale, or Luxury Goods.

This role is based on‑site in Bethesda, Maryland. Current LePrix, Inc. office hours are 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. It is expected that all LePrix, Inc. employees have open availability within these established hours (unless otherwise approved), which are subject to change at any time with or without notice.

All LePrix, Inc. team members are expected to be able to perform the following tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Stand/walk for up to 10‑hours.
  • Work 40 hours/week and overtime as the business requires.
  • Access all areas of building (depending on the operations building, this may include ascending and descending ladders, stairs, gangways, and shipping docks safely and without limitation).
  • Walk in/and around all areas of the warehouse/offices with great frequency.
  • Willing and able to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, overnights, and/or holidays, and is subject to change at any time with or without notice.
  • Regularly bend, lift, stretch and reach both below the waist and above the head.
  • Lift and move items up to 49 pounds.
