Job Summary: As a sales associate you will be the face of our company, highlight our brand and image, and contribute to building our reputation as a customer‑focused organization. You will directly assist customers, help them identify the value of our products and services, and articulate our purpose in an educational, insightful, and professional manner. A positive, outgoing nature that enjoys serving others and making a positive impact is essential.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Proactively engage and connect with customers, ask questions and listen to their needs, direct them to merchandise and inform them about upcoming events, promotions, mobile offers, and the STAR card. Build inclusive and respectful relationships, and take accountability for your actions and outcomes.
- Organization: Maintain store appearance.
- Sales: Cross‑sell products and know the store layout; suggest latest trends and current promotions tailored to individual customers; upsell; stay current on product features, trends, and company tools to provide confident product knowledge; use a point‑of‑sales system to process cash, exchanges, discounts, gift cards, credit/debit cards, and handle cash accurately; complete paperwork, reports, and reconciliation.
- Inventory: Serve as keeper of merchandise, complete all inventory processes, ensure proper ticketing, and participate in periodic inventories.
- Dependability: Adhere to the assigned work schedule and complete work assignments fully and accurately.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Product Knowledge: Basic knowledge of product merchandise.
- Experience: Retail experience preferred but not required.
- Communication
Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities; able to read, write, and interpret instructional documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; effective telephone etiquette. - Mathematical
Skills:
Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. - Reasoning Ability: Multi‑task while remaining attentive to customers, flexible to business needs, work as part of a team, and take initiative independently of direct supervision.
- Physical Demands: Constant movement, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and standing for at least two consecutive hours; may involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and lifting 25–50 lbs. Work is typically indoors but may be outdoors depending on location.

Work Hours: Available to work a variety of hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Education: No experience required. High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
