Beauty Counter Manager

• Create personalized beauty experiences for customers
• Maximize sales for the assigned beauty brand in a commissioned sales environment
• Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses
• Recommend products based on customers’ beauty goals
• Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment
• Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools, including text and social media
• Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
• Build and maintain vendor relationships
• Maintain department organization and cleanliness
• Keep up with beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through provided training
• Process sales, refunds, and exchanges
• Build customer loyalty by opening new Nordstrom Rewards accounts

• Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare
• Excellent ability to connect with customers, proactively handle customer concerns and contribute to a positive team environment
• Empathy and respect for all customers, providing a supportive environment during makeup and skincare application
• Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends

• Continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above the head
• Regularly lift items up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
