This is a long-term contract position which offers:

** TASKS.
** The contractor shall:

+ Perform computational analysis of deep sequencing data, including short-read and long-read platforms.

+ Performs computations on research data analysis.

+ Transcriptomic data analyses including alignment, abundance estimation, differential gene expression, and gene ontology/pathways from bulk and single-cell workflows.

+ Works with staff on scientific programming and experimental design.

+ Maintain proper and detailed documentation of the analysis performed and report results at lab meetings.

+ Attend scientific and programming meetings; take and compile comprehensive notes; organize and edit content of meeting reports.

** REQUIREMENTS.
** The contractor must have:

+ Master's in Biological Sciences or Life Sciences Bioinformatics or Computational Biology

+ Experience collaborating with scientists to design, analyze, manage and interpret all types of data.

+ Expertise in making recommendations to investigators about the correct computational tools for testing scientific hypotheses and reaching valid conclusions.

+ Experience providing statistical support / analysis on research data.

+ Expertise in writing complex queries to multiple databases and contributing to scientific manuscripts.
