** TASKS.
** The contractor shall:

+ Design and optimize recombinant protein expression vectors for various host systems e.g., Mammalian/Expi
293/CHO, Insect/Baculo

+ Perform in silico design of chimeric proteins, including the strategic selection of fusion tags HIS, Fc , protease cleavage sites TEV, HRV-3C , and signal peptides

+ Perform in vitro biochemical and biophysical assays to evaluate proteins and constructs (e.g., SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting, UV-Vis(Nano Drop), SEC-HPLC)

+ Perform and evaluate recombinant protein-antibody interactions and identify biologically relevant findings (e.g., ELISA, BLI)

+ Operate and maintain FPLC systems (e.g., Cytiva ÄKTA Pure/Start) and associated software (UNICORN).

+ Operate high-throughput Biolayer Interferometry (BLI) and Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) instruments (e.g., Octet RH96, Carterra, LSA)

+ Utilize specialized analytical software (e.g., Octet Analysis Studio, Carterra Analysis Software, Graph Pad Prism) for advanced kinetic modeling and epitope binning determination

+ Conduct structure prediction and modeling as needed to inform experimental design (Alpha Fold)

** REQUIREMENTS.
** The contractor must have:

+ Master's in Biology, life sciences or related field

+ 7-8 years experience in biology or related field performing biological research functions in a research setting and laboratory environment.

+ Demonstrate knowledge of proper laboratory disposal methods and safety procedures.

+ Experience maintaining and utilize cell lines for protein expression, and perform downstream supernatant harvest, cell lysis, and clarification

+ Expertise developing and optimize multi-step protein purification protocols to improve yield, purity, and stability using diverse purification and chromatography techniques
