Job Skills / RequirementsFirst Coast Security Solutions provides security services nationwide. We are seeking an Assistant Program Manager of Operations to support security operations for National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland. This role provides day-to-day operational support to the Program Manager and contract needs.
Responsibilities- Support daily security operations for multiple posts and shifts to ensure consistent coverage.
- Ensure schedules are complete and accurate in Winteam.
- Maintain digital and physical records onboarding, training, compliance, etc.
- Ensure all disciplinary files are reviewed and approved prior to being sent for final review.
- Work closely with the client when posts are being added or removed.
- Ensure that trained and qualified security personnel properly staff all posts
- Ensure full compliance with federal contract requirements, company policies, and security standards.
- Support strong client relationships and serve as the principal liaison for contract communications.
- Maintain effective communications with all assigned security personnel
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and quality‑assurance reviews.
- Oversee and maintain staffing levels, hiring needs, onboarding, and training processes.
- Prepare reports required by the corporate office and provide updates as required.
- Will perform any additional duties as assigned to maintain contract compliance.
- The APM will make decisions and act on behalf of the PM during the PM’s absence and manage all security aspects on the contract.
- Conduct regular meetings with the management staff to maintain staffing levels, continuity, implement policy and to discuss strategies for success.
- Work is performed at federal facilities, training environments, and office settings
- May require extended hours and on-call availability
- Travel may be required
- Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and be on call as required to support operations.
- Must be able to multitask.
- Have a fluent command of the English language for both oral and written communication.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting
- Supervisory experience in a security environment.
- Minimum of three (3) years of security management on federal or government contracts; or military leadership experience
- Must have experience managing security personnel, scheduling, and operational staffing.
- Must have experience of responding and managing security incidents and emergencies.
Maryland Security Guard Certification
EducationAssociate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
