Job Summary

Saber One Security Solutions is seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-focused Security Officer to join our team. This position is assigned to a licensed child care/day care environment
, where maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming atmosphere for children, families, staff, and visitors is essential.

The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, integrity, strong communication skills, and sound judgment while interacting with children, parents, faculty, and the public.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly preferred.

• Patrol the premises and maintain a high level of visibility.
• Monitor entrances and exits to ensure only authorized individuals access the facility.
• Greet and assist parents, visitors, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for children, employees, and visitors.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems.
• Respond promptly to suspicious activity, emergencies, and security incidents.
• Enforce facility policies and procedures while providing excellent customer service.
• Remove unauthorized individuals or trespassers when necessary.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident reports.
• Coordinate with day care management and emergency responders when appropriate.

• Previous experience as a Security Officer, Security Guard, or in a similar public safety role preferred.
• Valid Maryland Security Guard Certification.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong knowledge of security procedures and emergency response protocols.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.li>
• Ability to prepare detailed incident and activity reports.
• Ability to operate surveillance cameras and other security equipment.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and reliability.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a child care/day care environment and interact professionally with children, parents, guardians, and staff.
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional during emergencies or stressful situations.

• CPR/AED and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience working in schools, educational facilities, child care centers, or other environments serving children.
• Customer service experience in a public-facing role.
