Job Skills / Requirements

Tri Corps Security is hiring professional and motivated Armed Security Officers (SPOs) to join our team in North Bethesda, Maryland. Applicants must meet all applicable Maryland requirements for armed SPO status and demonstrate reliability, professionalism, sound judgment, and the ability to respond appropriately in high-pressure situations.

As a Tri Corps Armed Security Officer (SPO), you will be responsible for protecting personnel, visitors, property, and assets while maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment. Officers are expected to remain vigilant, enforce site policies, respond appropriately to incidents, and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to designated areas, ensuring only authorized individuals are permitted entry.
  • Conduct routine patrols of the property to maintain safety, security, and a visible security presence.
  • Observe, identify, and report suspicious, irregular, or potentially dangerous activity.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies, disturbances, security incidents, and other situations requiring intervention.
  • Enforce site rules, regulations, policies, and procedures consistently and professionally.
  • Protect employees, visitors, property, and assets from potential security threats.
  • Provide courteous and professional assistance to employees, visitors, and customers.
  • Investigate disturbances and security-related incidents within the scope of assigned authority.
  • Complete accurate and detailed activity, incident, and security reports.
  • Carry and maintain authorized firearms and assigned equipment in accordance with Tri Corps policies and applicable Maryland requirements.

Professional Expectations

  • Maintain all required Maryland licenses, certifications, and qualifications applicable to an Armed Security Officer (SPO).
  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times.
  • Exercise sound judgment and appropriate discretion when responding to security incidents.
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings throughout each shift.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, reliability, and composure under pressure.
  • Follow all Tri Corps policies, post orders, client requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Uphold Tri Corps’ core values of reliability, service, and excellence.
  • Positions available in North Bethesda, Maryland.
  • Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Officers may be required to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods throughout the shift.
