Senior Hvac Technician

ABM Industries is seeking a Senior HVAC Technician to support our Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management team within Facilities & Maintenance. In this role, you will lead troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of complex commercial HVAC systems across diverse client sites, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable building operations. You will perform advanced diagnostics, oversee preventive maintenance programs, mentor junior technicians, and coordinate with engineering and facility managers.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting, repair, and startup of complex commercial and industrial HVAC systems
• Perform advanced diagnostics on chillers, boilers, RTUs, VAVs, and controls to maximize uptime and efficiency
• Execute and optimize preventive maintenance programs across multiple client facilities
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level HVAC technicians in best practices and safety standards
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and facility management teams on system upgrades and projects
• Document work in CMMS, maintain accurate service records, and recommend capital or repair improvements
• Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including refrigerant handling
