The proposed salary range for this position is: $99, USD

• Collaborate and Innovate:
  Work closely with Army stakeholders to understand their business requirements and translate them into robust data architecture strategies and solutions.
• Design the Future:
  Create and develop prototypes of scalable, secure, and high-performing data architectures, both on-premises and in the cloud, leveraging the latest cloud technologies and services.
• Build Together:
  Partner with data engineers, data scientists, and IT professionals to design and implement data pipelines, data transformation processes, and data integration solutions.
• Ensure Data Governance:
  Implement data governance principles and best practices, including data quality controls, data privacy, and compliance, to maintain the integrity and security of data.
• Optimize and Thrive:
  Continuously monitor and optimize data platforms for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency, troubleshooting any issues that may arise with precision.
• Stay Ahead of the Curve:
  Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in data architecture and cloud technologies. Communicate the impact of these trends to Army stakeholders and advise on potential opportunities.
• Mentor and Grow:
  Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented culture.

Required:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience:
  
  At least 5 years of experience in software development, cloud engineering, or data engineering.
• Data Architecture Expertise:
  Significant experience and understanding of large data architectures such as Data Mesh, Data Fabric, Data Lakes, and Data Warehouses.
• Security Clearance:
  DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance.

Desired:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• DoD Top Secret Clearance.
• Experience with ETL tools, message brokers, and API gateways for use with streaming or event-based data (e.g., Apache NiFi, Kafka, Talend, Informatica).
• Strong knowledge of Linux and scripting languages such as Power Shell.
• Deep experience with data concepts including structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, data schemas, data storage, and ontologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google) to leverage cloud services for scalable and flexible data solutions.
• Knowledge of programming languages (Python, Java).
• Experience with data processing and visualization tools (e.g., Power
  
  BI, Kibana).
• Experience in working in Agile methodology.
