Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

As a Principal Software Engineer in Leidos' Intel Security Sector's Analysis Solutions Business Area, you will design, develop, implement, and test customer tools and applications in a Dev Ops framework, participating in all stages of the software development lifecycle.

• Participate in or direct software programming initiatives using Java, JavaScript, Python, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• Develop software system validation and testing methods with Junit and Katalon, and integrate custom solutions to automate deployment.
• Prototype and deploy solutions within Commercial Cloud Solutions leveraging infrastructure platform services.
• Coordinate with team members, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to ensure User Story alignment and implementation.
• Support the Agile software development lifecycle following SAFe practices, using tools like Git Hub, Jenkins, Unix bash scripting, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Analyze and coordinate infrastructure needs to meet customer mission requirements.
• Apply best practices and SOPs to create innovative solutions for customers.

• In-depth experience with Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and development practices.
• Expertise in Java, Spring, C2S, and the software development lifecycle within Dev Ops toolsets.
• Experience with software testing tools (Junit/Katalon, Python, Bash) in Agile environments.
• Experience developing in Commercial Cloud Platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and cloud data services (S3, RDS, EFS).
• Experience with version control and issue tracking systems.
• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or Master’s with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance required.

• Experience with structured analysis and design methodologies.
• Understanding of the customer's system development policies.
