Python Software Engineer – Hanover, MD

Salary Range: $160,000 - $180,000, depending on experience.
What You Will DoThe Python Software Engineer will develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based on documented requirements. The role involves working independently or as part of a team, reviewing and testing software components for adherence to design requirements, documenting test results, and resolving software problem reports.
Responsibilities include utilizing appropriate software development and design methodologies, providing input to system design (including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of COTS/GOTS, and requirements analysis), and extending backend development with an emphasis on APIs.
Qualifications- Proficient in Python, AWS, Docker, Terraform.
- Desired (but not required) experience with Bash and SQL.
- IAT Level 2 Certification required at start date.
- At least four (4) years of experience in IT application systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (or four years of equivalent experience for a total of eight years).
