Mid-Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a high-performing Dev Ops Engineer to support an immediate need. In this role, you will drive the Dev Ops engineering efforts of a high-impact modernization initiative designed to converge key authoring, dissemination, and supporting tools. You will be instrumental in deploying robust, distributed applications, automating infrastructure provisioning, configuring complex software environments, and ensuring mission-critical systems maintain peak performance and reliability.

ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TS/SCI POLYGRAPH LEVEL IS REQUIRED.

The annual base salary range for this role is $150,000-$250,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.

On-site with up to 1 day per week of telework flexibility available!

• Operating Systems:
  Deep hands-on experience with Linux administration and engineering.
• Cloud & Virtualization:
  Proven experience with AWS, MASH, and Virtual Machine (VM) environments.
• Containerization:
  Strong, thorough understanding of Docker and Docker Compose container technologies, along with operational experience in Docker Swarm.
• CI/CD & Application Deployment:
  Demonstrated experience deploying distributed web applications using automated pipelines (e.g., Git Lab CI/CD).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
  Hands-on experience with Terraform scripting and VM provisioning.
• Configuration Management:
  Proficiency with Ansible scripting and playbook development.
• Version Control:
  Expertise with Git workflow and repository management.
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, PLUS 7+ years of professional software engineering experience OR High School Diploma / GED, PLUS 11+ years of hands-on technical software development experience in lieu of a degree.

Hands-on Python scripting and automated tool development.

Experience with Apache NiFi setup, maintenance, and flow configuration.

Experience configuring and maintaining Elasticsearch clusters.

Familiarity with Java / Spring Boot architectures to effectively navigate and troubleshoot error logs.

Practical experience configuring and managing HAProxy.

Familiarity with MongoDB management and maintenance.
