Seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead the accounting function for our outsourced services division. Our Vendor Sync division provides outsourced management of contingent workforce vendors for public school districts. In this role, you will work directly with the company's senior financial executives as well as operational leaders within the Vendor Sync Division to build out this new service offering. As the Senior Accounting Manager, you will employ an analytical mind and strong organizational skills;
we expect you to be detail-oriented, have strong problem‑solving skills, work comfortably under pressure, and deliver on tight deadlines. The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the financial system within the division and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition.
- Monitor and maintain all financial transitions for the Vendor Sync Division.
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
- Update accounts receivable and issue invoices.
- Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations.
- Oversee weekly client invoicing and posting of invoices to the General Ledger.
- Oversee cash management and posting payments.
- Process balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
- Review expenses, payroll records, etc. as assigned.
- Update financial data in databases to ensure that information is accurate and immediately available when needed.
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
- Assist with other accounting projects.
- Advanced-level user of Excel with strong VLOOKUP and Pivot Table skills.
- Proficient technical software skills, comfortable toggling between multiple systems throughout the day.
- Comfortable "living in the numbers" and possessing a strong analytical acumen.
- Proven experience in similar accounting roles.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Good with numbers and figures.
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g., SAP).
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
