Looking for a senior accountant to grow into the role of an Accounting Manager or someone with experience supervising looking to grow their accounting experience in a medium manufacturing company.

Position Summary: The Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the accounting department. This position includes analyzing accounting processes, implementing new procedures, assisting in audits and budgets, and supervising accounting staff.

General

Purpose:

To organize and execute daily accounting processes and supervise accounting staff.

• General Ledger
• Account reconciliation and variance analysis
• Supervise accounting staff
• Manage and perform the close process and financial statement preparation and analysis
• Invoicing, collections and daily status reports
• Assist in budget preparation
• Assist in audits
• Government surveys
• Support manufacturing through design and implementation of policies and procedures
• Improvement of processes
• Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required

• BS Accounting or Finance (REQUIRED)
• 5-8 years progressive accounting experience
• Experience managing accounting functions in a manufacturing environment
• Strong computer skills, particularly Sage 100, Ceridian, and MS Office Suite
• Cost accounting experience a plus
• Crystal reporting a plus
• CPA / prior public accounting experience / MBA / CMA a plus
• Prior supervisory experience preferred

Accounting staff

Physical demands: frequent standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, climbing stairs, stretching, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. Vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception.

Work environment: typical office setting with occasional exposure to weather conditions, dust, heat, cold, odors, humidity, and minimal noise.
