This limited term, full time position supports the daily operations of the Reading District Office by providing essential clerical and customer service support. The role keeps the office organized and ensures that information flows smoothly. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Typing Support: Edit letters, reports, and correspondence to prepare documents for distribution
- Visitor Assistance: Greet office visitors and guide them to appropriate personnel
- Call Handling: Operate a multi line call system to screen calls and provide information
- Mail Processing: Sort, prepare, and route incoming and outgoing mail for the office
- File Management: Maintain organized filing systems and prepare documents for scanning and archiving
- Office Coordination: Manage supplies, equipment needs, and general administrative tasks
- Limited term, full time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 30 minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting hourly rate of $18.46 (before taxes).

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);
or - Graduation from high school;
or - An equivalent combination of experience and training.
