As a Clerical Assistant 3 with the Office of Children, Youth and Families, you will support a mission that makes a difference in the lives of children. This position supports the Western Regional Office through detailed clerical work, careful recordkeeping, and assistance to the Regional Director. It plays an essential role in organizing information and supporting child protective services activities.
Responsibilities- Child Fatality Logging: Maintain logs, track deadlines, and notify staff of required actions related to near fatality and fatality reports.
- Call and Email Triage: Route communications to staff based on urgency, workload, and subject matter.
- Correspondence Review: Check incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy, completeness, and correct routing.
- Office Equipment Management: Research vendors, place approved orders, and monitor supplies and office furniture needs.
- Child Abuse Documentation: Maintain logs, prepare correspondence, and manage records related to child abuse functions.
- Staff Support Duties: Assist with onboarding, schedule meetings, greet visitors, and help staff with assigned clerical tasks.
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: This position does not offer a telework option.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non‑negotiable.
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (or equivalent Federal Government job title as determined by the Office of Administration).
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience.
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- You must meet the PA residency requirement.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
