Position: Client Growth Executive I

Job Summary

Velera is the nation’s premier payments credit union service organization (CUSO) and an integrated fintech solutions provider. We are seeking a talented Client Growth Executive I to represent, support, and develop relationships between Velera and executive management at assigned credit unions across all aspects of PSCU at an enterprise level.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and execute sales strategies supporting assigned credit unions, including mitigating and remedying any service or support issues.
  • Collaborate with the National Sales team to refer Velera products and services.
  • Create and execute customized account plans to increase sales volume and market share within assigned credit unions.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships at all levels with client and Velera departments to promote Velera products and position the business to capitalize on emerging consumer and market needs.
  • Identify and act upon opportunities for renewed business to retain revenue.
  • Meet periodically with client senior executives to evaluate strategic opportunities and extend partnership and portfolio performance.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate and timely annual Card Program Analysis, proposals, pricing comparisons, pro formas, and program analysis.
  • Serve as the client liaison to mitigate and remedy service issues affecting the overall client relationship with Velera.
  • Act as liaison for product implementations, program start‑ups, and major projects.
  • Consult and advise clients on maximizing return on assets and revenue to Velera.
  • Deliver consultative support to identify and solve business issues across credit union’s enterprise business related to Velera products/services.
  • Negotiate contractual relationships and renewal term agreements.
  • Meet or exceed established revenue goals from the sale of new products and services.
  • Develop sales and service goals, objectives, and revenue forecasts with full accountability for results.
  • Consult with clients in creating, launching, and tracking marketing campaigns focused on account acquisition and portfolio growth, including an eighteen‑month marketing calendar.
  • Maintain strong account relationships resulting in excellent client satisfaction scores and serve as primary management point of contact for credit union strategic initiatives and escalated issue resolution.
  • Prepare and deliver effective presentations at Velera‑sponsored events, credit union staff and Board of Directors, advisory groups, and other functions.
  • Update the Velera Client Relationship Management (Salesforce) profile with communications, plans, opportunities, and tasks related to maintaining the client relationship.
  • Manage product renewal opportunities and recommend new and creative approaches to growing Velera business.
  • Stay current on payment industry trends, innovation, and Velera products and solutions, including Visa, Master Card, FDR, and competitors.
  • Collaborate with product teams regarding new product development for credit union and consumer opportunities.
  • Interact positively and professionally with Velera staff, clients, and business constituents.
  • Continuously review the client landscape and recommend, develop, and implement new approaches to business growth.
  • Keep abreast of legislative, regulatory, and procedural issues and communicate them to clients.
  • Ensure information is entered into the Velera client database in a timely manner and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum four (4) years of marketing, business development, consulting, sales, or relationship management experience.
  • Minimum four (4) years of B2B/B2BC experience.
  • Financial Services or Consulting experience preferred.
