Schedule:
25 hours per week, changing weekly. Must be available during all branch open hours Monday – Saturday, including two Saturdays per month.
Monday – Thursday: 8:30am – 4:30pm;
Friday: 8:30am – 5:30pm;
Saturday: 8:30am – 12:30pm.
Specializes in our branch customer experience through digital engagement, lobby management, transactional processing, and retail servicing interactions. Processes a variety of financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Adhere to established customer service standards and provide a differentiated experience by understanding customer needs and delivering solutions at critical moments.
- Educate customers through shoulder‑to‑shoulder digital demonstrations; identify self‑service opportunities that meet identified needs.
- Actively engage in lobby management—meeting, greeting customers, proactively inquiring and owning the resolution of immediate needs.
- Accurately balance and process customer transactions efficiently following Bank Policy.
- Take ownership of escalated account services issues until resolution; complete and log all customer complaints in the appropriate system.
- Transition identified sales opportunities and provide introductions to appropriate banking partners.
- Complete branch‑related operational activities such as cash ordering, vault, ATM, and wire transfer activities.
- Process customer/account maintenance accurately.
- Complete Consumer AML/BSA/KYC related activities.
- Adhere to applicable compliance and operational risk controls.
- Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of audit points and issues raised by regulators.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
- Interact with appropriate bank areas to resolve branch‑related operational issues efficiently and accurately.
- Stay current on operational changes and demonstrate good risk management decisions.

Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and minimum of six months customer service experience (including data entry and/or cash handling).
- One year of retail cash handling and customer service experience.
- Proven verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional customer service, well‑organized, time‑management and prioritization skills.
- Proficiency with internet, user‑level technology.
- Bilingual, based on branch needs.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Use of hands and fingers for prolonged periods.
- Lift light to heavy objects weighing 5lbs–30lbs.
- Read fine print.
- Interact with customers face‑to‑face in an open environment.
Hourly: $18.00–$26.21 USD.
