Anesthesia Specialists of Bethlehem (ASB), a physician-led private anesthesia practice with over 30 years of stability, is seeking a full-time, partnership-track anesthesiologist to join their expanding group within St. Luke's University Health Network. This opportunity is open to newly graduating residents and fellows, with strong consideration for fellowship-trained candidates. The role involves providing comprehensive anesthesia services across a large, integrated health system, focusing on a broad, collaborative practice environment with solid regional anesthesia skills.
Practice Info
- ASB is comprised of 83 anesthesiologists and 168 CRNAs.
- Provides comprehensive anesthesia services across a large, integrated health system.
- Provides coverage at 13 inpatient hospitals and 3 ambulatory surgery centers.
- St. Luke's Bethlehem Campus is a Level I Trauma Center.
- St. Luke's Anderson Campus is a Level II Trauma Center, home to a newly constructed Mother and Baby Pavilion with approximately 3,500 deliveries annually.
- Broad case mix including orthopedics, thoracic, neurosurgery, interventional radiology, urology, gynecology, ENT, vascular, bread and butter pediatrics, and general surgery.
Responsibilities
- Participate in a wide range of cases.
- Lead and staff Acute Pain Services.
- Lead and staff Surgical Optimization Clinic.
- Lead and staff Robust ERAS programs across most specialties.
Compensation
- Average total annual compensation is approximately $655,000.
- $501,000 base salary.
- $80,000 average additional compensation from voluntary call.
- $70,000 employer-funded 401(k) contribution.
- $3,000 CME allowance.
- $1,650 employer-funded HRA.
- $100,000 sign-on bonus.
- $10,000 relocation assistance.
- $500/month vehicle stipend for travel between campuses.
- $80/month cellphone stipend.

Shift & Schedule
- First and second call average approximately four calls per month.
- First call:
Overnight once every 14 days. - Weekdays: 3-4 pm to 7 am.
- Second call:
Once every 14 days. - Regular workday followed by home backup coverage after OR completion (around 7 pm).
- Post-call day off following both first and second call.
- Weekend call: 24 hours, 7am-7am, approximate 6-7 times per year.
- CRNAs are on call at all campuses.
- Optional voluntary call opportunities at smaller campuses for additional compensation.
