Educational Consultant (Math) – Per Diem – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Remote status: This is NOT a remote position. Candidates must live within 30 miles of the posting city.

Hours: Per Diem consultants are scheduled on an as-needed basis and paid hourly. Scheduling is highly dependent on customer demand and usually falls during normal school hours. Peak periods include August through October and January through February.

Location: This position is based in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area and will support districts throughout the Midwest, PA, and WV. Must currently live in, near, or be open to relocating to the Philadelphia area and have a valid driver’s license with own transportation.

Travel: Up to 80% travel is required, including overnight stays, and may involve car, plane, and/or public transportation.

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate starting at $65 per hour for educator‑facing professional learning delivery, with additional compensation for preparation, co‑facilitation, internal meetings, travel, and other required activities.

Benefits: Company‑provided laptop; ability to keep all travel points for flights and hotels booked for work‑related travel; mileage reimbursement may be available for applicable travel.

Start Date: ASAP.

• Become an expert on the company’s online diagnostic and instruction program, focusing on Mathematics.
• Serve teachers in the classroom by coordinating on‑site product training and professional learning courses for teachers and school administrators, adjusting workshops within specified parameters to fit participants’ needs.
• Deliver professional learning courses that promote equity, helping teachers, coaches, and leaders implement Ready and i‑Ready to impact classroom learning.
• Provide tailored on‑site support ranging from lesson‑planning and pacing to data analysis and instructional application, and help leaders identify evidence of implementation successes and challenges.
• Engage in the internal cycle of professional improvement and development, including being observed, receiving feedback, and being coached.
• Track and submit detailed training notes and complete all assignments in a timely manner.
• Present a professional image at all times to customers and prospects.

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2+ years of experience teaching Mathematics or coaching teachers in Mathematics with a strong record of providing professional learning. Experience teaching secondary 6‑12 or holding a degree in Mathematics or Mathematics education is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of the State Standards for Mathematics for Grades K‑8, including content and practice standards. Understanding of the ELA Standards for K‑8 is a plus.
• Fluency with digital tools, including online assessments, and high comfort discussing and applying data with teachers and leaders.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and ability to apply them to professional learning to achieve learning objectives.
• Excellent facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Exceptional time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately. Proven organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Proficient computer and internet skills, including Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and online meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Web Ex) is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an educational cohort.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
