OVERVIEWDeSales University, in Center Valley, PA, is a private, coeducational, four‑year liberal arts Salesian Catholic university, under the leadership of the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales. Founded in 1965, the 550‑acre suburban campus is located 50 miles north of Philadelphia and about 90 miles southwest of New York City. A total enrollment of nearly 3,500 includes undergraduate day and evening students, and graduate students.
DeSales has approximately 135 full‑time faculty members and offers more than 40 bachelor’s degrees, twelve graduate programs, and over 20 certificate programs in a wide range of disciplines; many of these can be completed fully online. DeSales University is an NCAA Division III member. The Head Coach for Men’s and Women’s tennis will coordinate all aspects of the Tennis program including coaching, recruiting, organizing and planning both game and practice strategies, game management, staffing, scheduling, fundraising, budgeting and team management. The Head Coach will oversee an assistant coach and a graduate assistant. This position requires working weekends, nights and holidays when necessary and recruiting at least 10 student athletes for the men’s team and 10 for the women’s team each academic year.
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree preferred - Valid driver’s licence with clean driving record required
- Previous coaching experience required, preferable at the collegiate level
- Prior playing experience preferred
- Ability to work weekends, nights and holidays when necessary
- Required to recruit at least 10 student athletes for the men’s team and 10 for the women’s team each academic year
