The Junior Initiative Advisor supports the Junior Initiative Co-Facilitator in a career exploration program for 11th-grade students, connecting them with local professionals through job shadowing and experiential learning. The role supports student engagement, program organization, and the integration of real-world experiences with academic learning.

School Year

• Experience :
  Experience working with high school students while focusing on college and/or career readiness, advisory, or experiential learning setting.
• Skills :
  Strong managerial, organizational, and communication skills.
• Education :
  Valid PA teaching certificate.

Ability to work with students of all ability levels.

• Support implementation of the Junior Initiative program, assisting with presentations, student orientation, and overall execution of program activities.
• Monitor and support student participation, ensuring juniors are progressing through required components, including their job shadowing or host visitations.
• Assist with program logistics and communication, helping coordinate timelines, disseminate information to students, and respond to student questions.
• Support maintenance of program resources, including contributing to the Schoology or LMS page and ensuring materials and updates are accessible to students.
• Assist with tracking and documentation, supporting attendance, participation records, and completion of program requirements.
• Has read and understands obligations as outlined in MNSD School Board Policies.
• Other duties as assigned by Administration.

Semester 1

Approximately 300 students

In accordance with the school code, Act 24 and all related clearances.

1-2 years experience - $438.00

3, 4, 5 years experience - $475.00

6 years & over experience - $510.00
