Job Description: The Junior Initiative Co-Facilitator coordinates and implements a career exploration program for 11th-grade students, connecting them with local professionals through job shadowing and experiential learning. The role supports student engagement, program organization, and the integration of real-world experiences with academic learning.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Experience working with high school students while focusing on college and/or career readiness, advisory, or experiential learning setting.
• Skills: Strong managerial, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work with students of all ability levels.
• Education: Valid PA teaching certificate.

Essential Functions:

• Plan and implement the Junior Initiative program, including delivering student presentations, organizing timelines, and ensuring successful execution of orientation and visitation components.
• Facilitate student participation in career exploration experiences, supporting students in completing job shadowing or host visitations with local professionals.
• Develop and maintain program resources, including managing the Schoology or LMS page to communicate expectations, materials, and updates to students.
• Monitor and assess student engagement, including overseeing grading, tracking participation, and ensuring completion of program requirements.
• Collaborate with co-facilitator and school stakeholders, maintaining communication with administration, staff, and community partners to support program effectiveness.
• Has read and understands obligations as outlined in MNSD School Board Policies.
• Other duties as assigned by Administration.

Frequency of meetings: Semester 1

Approximate number of students enrolled: Approximately 300 students

Clearances: In accordance with the school code, Act 24 and all related clearances.

MNSD Supplementary Contract Unit Values :

• 1-2 years experience - $438.00
• 3, 4, 5 years experience - $475.00
• 6 years & over experience - $510.00
