We are seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician II to support the ongoing operation and reliability of utility-scale solar facilities across the Mid-Atlantic region. This position is responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance, inspecting equipment, identifying potential issues before they become failures, and ensuring sites operate safely and efficiently.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technician with utility-scale solar or renewable energy experience who enjoys working independently in the field and takes pride in maintaining high-performing assets.
Key Responsibilities- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on utility-scale solar facilities.
- Inspect, test, and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment to maximize system reliability.
- Troubleshoot and identify equipment issues during routine inspections.
- Complete maintenance reports, work orders, and documentation accurately.
- Follow all OSHA, NFPA 70E, LOTO, and company safety procedures.
- Coordinate with Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure timely completion of scheduled work.
- Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in safe working condition.
- Support corrective maintenance activities as needed.
- Previous experience performing preventative maintenance on utility-scale solar, renewable energy, or electrical power systems.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to travel throughout Pennsylvania and Maryland.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding field environments.
- Knowledge of medium-voltage electrical systems.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70E, OSHA regulations, and LOTO procedures.
- NABCEP or other relevant electrical/renewable energy certifications are a plus.
Someone with hands-on utility-scale solar O&M experience who enjoys preventative maintenance work, values safety, and is comfortable traveling throughout the Mid-Atlantic region to support a portfolio of renewable energy assets.
