Site / Civil Engineer
We are representing a well-established engineering firm seeking a Site / Civil Engineer to support land development and site design projects across commercial, residential, healthcare, and public-sector work. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer looking to build a strong technical foundation while working closely with senior engineers and project managers through all phases of design and permitting.
Key Responsibilities- Assist senior engineers with site and civil design for land development projects
- Support site grading, utility design, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for site drainage and stormwater systems
- Prepare construction drawings and plan sets using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Research and apply local and state code requirements to project designs
- Prepare permit applications and coordinate with regulatory agencies
- Develop preliminary cost estimates and quantities
- Participate in construction observation and site visits as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program
- 0–3 years of experience in site or civil engineering (internship experience counts)
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Comfortable working independently and within a team environment
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain
- Exposure to land development, municipal, or site permitting projects
