MUST HAVES:
5+ Years of experience of industry experience with knowledge of designing piping systems for complex warehouse facilitiesExperience performing Trace load calculation and 3D modeling software (Navisworks, Plant 3D, Cadworx) and RevitBackground working in pharmaceutical or utility and piping industryHands-on creating of utility layout systems (steam systems, gas systems, water systems)Experience with client facing and presenting to clientsNICE TO HAVE:
Able to run projects from start to finish, breakdown scope of work for the teamWork closely with Jr EngineersExperience writing a proposalSeeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design teams within our Facilities Business Unit for various clients and projects in the Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Government, and Power markets. This position can be hybrid, but the candidate must be local to Wexford, Wilkes-Barre, or Bethlehem, PA. The qualified candidate must be able to lead a project team through the conceptual, preliminary, final design, and construction phases of a project while building successful working relationships with clients and approval agencies.
BL provides a collaborative and flexible work environment that promotes creativity and use of various engineering technologies (GIS, Drones, 3-D design, BIM modeling, and Digital As-Builts).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform site visits to document existing conditions and understand client needsIdentify areas of the facility or project site that require 3D scanning for the design processResearch and analyze customer design parameters, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility and maintenance requirements of designs and/or applicationsPerform and document mechanical design tasks for large HVAC, plumbing, and process mechanical projectsLead the development of plans, specifications, studies, estimates, material lists, and other deliverables. Ensure adherence to QA/QC programProvide direction to mechanical designers and draftersDevelop engineering drawings, sketches, Process Flow Diagrams, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, and Control Diagrams in an electronic or hand formatProvide construction administration services, which may include a review of shop drawings, attending meetings, field inspection, system startup, and de-buggingDrive safety initiativesRead and interpret technical drawings, schematics, isometrics, process & instrumentation diagrams, specifications, and system operating proceduresDevelop construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and scopes of workApply knowledge of engineering principles to research, design, and evaluate mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet project requirements, and generate technical reportsQUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 + years of industry experience
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Professional Engineering License or ability to obtain within 6-12 months
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
- Proficiency with project management and financial analysis tools
- Strong writing, documentation, communication, and leadership skills
