Jaydu is seeking an experienced Program / Project Manager – Mechanical Design to lead and coordinate mechanical engineering and product development programs from concept through design, validation, and production.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical design/engineering background combined with project and program management experience. This role will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, customers, and other cross functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in accordance with technical and quality requirements.

Lead mechanical design and engineering projects from concept development through production release.

Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, budgets, and resource requirements.

Coordinate activities between Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Customer teams.

Manage multiple engineering projects/programs simultaneously and ensure alignment with customer and business priorities.

Conduct design and project reviews and track engineering deliverables through completion.

Work closely with mechanical design engineers on 3D models, assemblies, manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and design documentation improvements, and design modifications.

Manage engineering changes including ECR, ECO/ECN, drawing revisions, BOM updates, and configuration changes.

Ensure designs meet manufacturability, functionality, cost, quality, and customer requirements.

Support DFM/DFA, tolerance analysis, GD&T, material selection, and manufacturing process considerations.

Identify technical and program risks and develop appropriate mitigation and recovery plans.

Monitor project KPIs, schedules, open issues, risks, engineering hours, and overall program performance.

Coordinate prototype builds, testing, validation, design changes, and production implementation.

Facilitate customer meetings, technical discussions, design reviews, and project.

Provide regular program status reports to customers and senior management.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering processes, project execution, cost reduction, and product quality.

Mentor and coordinate mechanical design engineers and other project team members as required.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

7+ years of overall experience in mechanical engineering, product design, manufacturing, or related industries.

3+ years of experience in Project or Program Management, preferably managing mechanical engineering or product development programs.

Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and engineering documentation.

Experience working with 3D CAD platforms such as Solid Works, Creo, Inventor, CATIA, or similar tools.

Excellent communication, leadership, customer interaction, and problem-solving abilities.

Experience managing NPD, ETO, or custom-engineered products.

Experience supporting manufacturing, automotive, RV, trailer, industrial equipment, machinery, or engineered products.

Experience coordinating oshore/onshore engineering teams is a plus.

Familiarity with PLM/PDM and ERP systems.

PMP or other Project Management certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement
