Assistant Shift Managers direct Surveillance staff, ensuring consistent internal and external customer service, assisting with scheduling, payroll, corrective action, departmental training, and shift coverage.

• Supervise staff and manage daily operations of one or more designated shifts in the Surveillance department.
• Act as the department point of contact in the Surveillance Manager’s absence.
• Create effective schedules while maintaining labor costs.
• Review and approve department payroll, addressing issues as they arise.
• Provide ongoing training of Surveillance personnel, including staff development and training programs.
• Lead departmental recognition programs to maximize associate engagement.
• Enforce internal control policies and procedures.
• Assist in developing, installing, and implementing Surveillance equipment training and repair programs.
• Monitor premises to detect crime or disturbances using closed‑circuit television, notifying authorities when necessary.
• Record activities in the count room and monitor movements of cash, slot cash storage boxes, and table game drop boxes.
• Surveil areas storing gaming chips, plaques, cards, dice, roulette balls, and other game equipment.
• Detect cheating, theft, embezzlement, and other illegal activities.
• Track individuals prohibited or dismissed from the facility under applicable statutes.
• Record activities required under 465a.9(e) and monitor illegal or unusual activities.
• Surveil slot computer systems and other gaming equipment, working with the Board’s approvals.
• Maintain installation, repair, and maintenance of Surveillance system equipment.
• Operate OASIS applications, including custody, pit, credit, marketing, player tracking, game/table reports, customer inquiries, credit inquiries, self‑exclusion data, and iTrak.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, cooperating with PGCB and meeting requests.
• Maintain proper security and chain of custody on all department evidence.
• Perform any other assigned duties and responsibilities.

• Bachelor’s degree or four years of experience in Surveillance or Security in a high‑volume industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Certification requirements must be maintained.
• All company training must be completed.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from associates, managers, business partners, and patrons.
• Flexibility to work all shifts, including holidays, nights, weekends, and as business needs dictate.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain a Pennsylvania Gaming License.
