This position provides advanced support for equal employment opportunity (EEO) work across several justice-related agencies. It focuses on investigating complaints, offering guidance, and promoting fair workplace practices. As an Equal Opportunity Specialist 3, you will perform the following duties:
- Investigate Complaints: Develop plans, conduct interviews, and review evidence for sensitive EEO cases
- Prepare Reports: Write clear investigative summaries and organize documents for review
- Provide Counseling: Guide employees and applicants on EEO laws, policies, and procedures
- Support Training: Deliver educational sessions, including sexual harassment training for cadets
- Coordinate Cases: Work with legal staff, testify when needed, and maintain accurate case records
- Interpret Policies: Review union contracts and human resource policies to support fair decision making
- Full‑time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part‑time up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high‑speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Mechanicsburg, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Equal Opportunity Specialist 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
- Three years of analytical experience in an equal opportunity program that includes two years of professional experience, and a bachelor’s degree
- An equivalent combination of experience and training
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required
- You must meet the PA residency requirement
- You must be able to perform essential job functions
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements
