The opportunity has risen for a Band 2 Driver/ Handyperson to join the team at the Mackintosh Centre in Mallaig. The Mackintosh Centre supports residential care in the Lochaber area for up to 8 residents. Applications welcome from people possessing excellent communication skills with a caring attitude. Treating residents with dignity and respect whilst supporting them to have a good quality of life is at the core of what we do.

This is a part-time permanent post of 24.7 hours per week to be worked in accordance with service requirements.

This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Health and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
Additional Information For Candidates- Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part‑time hours will be adjusted on a pro‑rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
