THE POSITION
The Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking a Licensed Psychologist Manager, Corrections who is ready to lead critical mental health services within a secure setting at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) this role, you guide clinical staff, direct psychological evaluations and treatment planning, and support inmates who face complex mental and emotional challenges. Your leadership helps maintain stability and strong mental health standards throughout the institution.

This position leads the psychological services program and directs clinical staff who provide evaluations, counseling, and crisis support for inmates. As a Licensed Psychologist Manager, Corrections, you will perform the following duties:
- Staff Supervision:
Oversee psychological staff, provide clinical guidance, and participate in evaluations, counseling, and crisis intervention - Program Leadership:
Develop and integrate psychological services policies, manage counseling programs, and support research projects - Committee Oversight:
Lead key institutional committees that address inmate mental health, crisis response, and clinical review - Clinical Standards:
Set competencies for psychological services staff, ensure the reliability and validity of clinical measures, and meet American Correctional Association (ACA) accreditation standards - Report Review:
Evaluate psychological test interpretations and prepare or review diagnostic and progress reports - Professional Consultation:
Provide guidance to staff on mental health issues and testify as an expert witness in legal proceedings

Work Schedule and Additional Information- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) ; or
- One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, intellectual disabilities or behavioral dysfunction.
Special Requirement:
- You must be in possession of a valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or possession of a valid license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board. Applicants with out-of-state licensure must obtain Pennsylvania licensure within one year of employment.
Other Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
