Aide Trainee - Danville State Hospital; 2nd Shift

The Department of Human Services, Danville State Hospital is looking for dedicated individuals to work in our facility. We are seeking hardworking, enthusiastic, and compassionate employees to join our team. The Danville State Hospital has many opportunities for Aide-Trainees. These are entry level positions with lots of room for advancement.

• Daily Living Support:
  Assist consumers with personal care routines and activities of daily living
• Health Monitoring:
  Record observations and report changes in consumer conditions
• Mobility Assistance:
  Help consumers move safely, including positioning, walking, and transfers
• Program Participation:
  Support consumers during activities, appointments, and therapeutic programs
• Safety Practices:
  Follow proper procedures for emergencies, equipment use, and infection control
• Communication Duties:
  Document information clearly and share updates with the care team

• Full-time employment.
• Work hours are 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Rotating schedule including weekends and holidays
• Overtime as needed
• May change based on operational needs
• Shift differential as follows: 2nd shift - $1.25/hour

• Salary:
  Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $38,411.00 (before taxes).
