Role Overview
The Systems Specialist II supports the successful delivery of Service Now platform technical solutions and services. The role requires an established understanding of ITSM platforms, ITIL, modern SDLC, and Agile processes. The Systems Specialist II supports the continued maturity of established workflows and standards, has a solid understanding of Select Medical’s current Service Now ecosystem, and must be driven to explore and develop new areas of the platform.
WhatYou Will Do
Support the design, development, and implementation of Service Now solutions, provide quality production support, research and communicate system improvements, and continually demonstrate an increase in development skills within the Select Medical Service Now platform.
Why It Might Be a FitThe ideal candidate will have 2-4+ years of IS experience, specifically with supporting production software solutions, and 2-4+ years of development experience in the Service Now Platform. They will also have Service Now System Admin Certification and experience with implementing new technologies and writing technical documentation/standards.
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience
- 2-4+ years IS experience, specifically with supporting production software solutions
- 2-4+ years of development experience in the Service Now Platform
- 2-4+ years of experience in ITIL processes
- Service Now System Admin Certification – required
- Service Now SPM Implementation Certification – preferred
- Demonstrated experience or working knowledge of web technologies and integrations, including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and REST/SOAP APIs, with the ability to apply these skills within the Service Now platform
- Experience with implementing new technologies and writing technical documentation/standards
- Process-oriented with experience in following established standards, processes, and methodologies for IT Service Management across the enterprise
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential
- Strong sense of urgency with excellent attention to detail, time management skills, and self-organization
- Superior customer service skills
- Exceptional team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills required
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum
- Experience with application lifecycle management platforms (i.e., Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)) for requirements, tasks, testing, and defect tracking
- Healthcare experience preferred
