The IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and continuous improvement of the organization's infrastructure platforms, endpoint management systems, identity services, and customer-facing infrastructure components. This role serves as a key technical resource for day-to-day operations while driving automation, operational efficiency, and secure service delivery across both internal and customer environments.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on infrastructure professional with strong Windows administration experience, modern endpoint management expertise, and a proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues through completion. This individual will collaborate closely with internal teams, managed service providers, software vendors, and customers to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure operations.
Job Description:Key Responsibilities Infrastructure & Systems Administration
- Administer and support Windows-based infrastructure environments.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, Entra , and hybrid identity services.
- Maintain server, endpoint, and network-connected systems to ensure reliability, performance, and security.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents and service disruptions through root cause identification and resolution.
- Support customer and internal environments operating within delegated administrative models.
- Administer Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot environments.
- Manage endpoint enrollment, provisioning, compliance policies, configuration profiles, and application deployment.
- Package, deploy, and troubleshoot Win
32 applications across enterprise environments. - Monitor device health, compliance, and security posture while ensuring adherence to organizational standards.
- Provision and maintain user accounts, groups, and permissions across hybrid identity platforms.
- Support device identity management and authentication services.
- Implement and maintain access controls consistent with security and compliance requirements.
- Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and role-based access provisioning processes.
- Develop and maintain Power Shell scripts and automation workflows.
- Safely execute and troubleshoot existing automation solutions with appropriate logging and change controls.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks to improve consistency, reduce risk, and increase operational efficiency.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for automation processes.
- Manage TLS certificate life cycles including CSR generation, installation, renewal, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Install and maintain certificates on IIS web servers and load balancing platforms.
- Validate certificate chains and resolve SSL/TLS-related issues affecting customer or internal services.
- Support application infrastructure components used to deliver secure services.
- Own infrastructure incidents, service requests, and change activities from initiation through resolution.
- Maintain accurate and timely ticket documentation within Jira, Zendesk, vendor portals, and other operational systems.
- Provide status updates and technical communications appropriate for customers, auditors, and business stakeholders.
- Coordinate activities with external vendors and managed service providers to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Participate in on-call support and after-hours maintenance activities as required.
- 5+ years of experience in Windows-centric infrastructure operations, systems administration, endpoint management, network operations, or related infrastructure support roles.
