Sign Language Interpreter for an 8-week assignment in or near Dover, Pennsylvania. Provides real-time interpretation for deaf and hard-of-hearing students during school hours. Works within a team to ensure equal access to educational content.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide sign language interpretation services to students during school hours.
  • Facilitate communication between students and staff to ensure equal access to educational content.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and interpreting standards.
  • Collaborate with educators to support student learning needs.
  • Document and report any concerns or issues related to interpretation services.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completed certification in Sign Language Interpretation.
  • EIPA score of 3.5 or higher.
  • Valid license in Pennsylvania.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Sign Language Interpretation.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Background check clearance.
  • Strong communication skills, patience, adaptability, and ability to work with deaf/hard-of-hearing populations.

You hold a Pennsylvania sign language interpreter license. You have at least one year interpreting experience with students. You possess strong communication, patience, and adaptability skills
