Guided Search Partners (GSP)

Guided Search Partners is an Executive Search firm built on Trust, Transparency, Specialization, and Long-term Relationships. We connect high-performing professionals with organizations that value people, performance, and growth—helping leaders find roles where they can make an impact and build meaningful careers.

About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with a family-owned global plastic packaging manufacturer seeking a Supply Chain Manager in Pennsylvania. This is a hands‑on, on‑site leadership role within a growing food and beverage packaging operation. The facility is the company’s U.S. platform and is entering a major growth phase, with 50% growth this year, new equipment being added, and a $45 million investment planned over the next 2–3 years.

The role is ideal for someone who enjoys both strategy and floor‑level execution. The team needs a supply chain leader who can build ownership, develop people, improve planning and procurement processes, and strengthen communication across procurement, customer service, warehouse, production planning, and operations.

What You’ll Do

You’ll lead end‑to‑end supply chain activity with a focus on procurement, logistics, customer support, planning, team development, and continuous improvement.

  • Lead procurement, purchasing, logistics, customer service, and planning activity
  • Develop and manage supply chain KPIs
  • Support monthly forecasting, sales trends, and demand planning
  • Oversee purchasing, inventory, supplier performance, and procurement processes
  • Partner with stakeholders to validate demand and support business needs
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure raw material availability
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, and supplier terms
  • Analyze demand changes, capacity constraints, and inventory levels
  • Support slow‑moving and obsolete inventory management
  • Drive continuous improvement across supply chain processes
  • Build stronger team ownership, autonomy, and accountability
  • Create process flow diagrams and identify opportunities to improve planning
Who You Are

You are a hands‑on supply chain leader who can bring structure, coaching, and accountability to a growing operation. You enjoy working with people, developing teams, and creating buy‑in. You are comfortable being close to the floor while also managing forecasting, procurement, suppliers, KPIs, and customer needs. You would do well here if you are a strong communicator, confident with customer interaction, and able to help a team move from needing close oversight to owning their process.

Preferred Experience & Attributes
  • 5+ years of supply chain or logistics experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Logistics Management, Manufacturing Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • APICS certification preferred
  • Strong supervisory and leadership experience
  • Experience leading and developing a team
  • ERP experience required; SAP experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of procurement and supply chain processes
  • Strong customer interaction skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to react quickly to changing requirements and new process developments
Why This Role Matters

This role matters because the facility is growing quickly and needs a dedicated supply chain leader to support scale, structure, and execution. With new thermoforming lines, new injection presses, and significant investment planned, the Supply Chain Manager will help strengthen the systems, team, and processes needed to support continued growth. For someone who wants a visible leadership role with hands‑on impact, this is a strong opportunity to help shape the supply chain function during an important stage of expansion.
