DESCRIPTION OF WORKEnhance the mobility of consumers by providing professional and accessible transportation in a safe, reliable, comfortable and courteous manner. Operate county vehicle an average of 150 miles each day. This is an opportunity to provide transportation service as well as social contact for our consumers (includes senior adults and wheelchair-dependent persons). Chance to work independently. Excellent communication skills required, both person-to-person and via two-way radio.
Willingness and patience to assist consumers, including senior adults and wheelchair-dependent consumers along rough payment or unpaved paths. Ability to easily adjust in daily schedule. Must be a people-person as you will be providing important assistance and socialization throughout the day.
- Part-time employment, 14-21+ hours per week.
- Transportation operates 4 AM to 9 PM, Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturdays.
- Telework: you will not have the option to telework in this position.

- One year of employment which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- You must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
- No suspension of driver’s license within the last three years.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
