General Overview

The Service Line Leader will oversee one of ARRO’s respective service lines, setting its strategy, driving growth, and ensuring excellence in technical delivery. This is a high‑visibility, high‑impact role with P&L responsibility, direct leadership over technical, project management, and administrative staff, and the mandate to position the Business unit for sustainable growth.

The role blends strategic leadership, operational oversight, and technical expertise. This position also plays a key role in fostering a workplace culture consistent with our core values of accountability, collaboration, health & safety, trust, and integrity.

The successful leader will foster collaboration across business units, geographies, and business functions (i.e. Client Management, Finance, People) to ensure integrated service delivery and firm‑wide alignment. This position will report to the General Manager.

Strategic & Business Leadership
  • Develop and execute a 3–5 year strategic growth plan for the Business Unit, aligned with ARRO’s growth objectives.
  • Own the Business Unit’s P&L, including annual budget development, monthly forecasting, and performance tracking against key KPIs (revenue growth, backlog, utilization, profit margins).
  • Build operational processes that allow the Business Unit to scale efficiently.
  • Demonstrate company core values in all interactions, decisions, and work processes.
Client & Market Development
  • Maintain and expand relationships with key clients, ensuring ARRO is their trusted advisor.
  • Partner with Regional Client Managers to identify and pursue new markets, service lines, and innovation opportunities that expand the firm’s offerings and create sustainable revenue growth.
  • Serve as the firm’s thought‑leader in the respective sector, representing ARRO at industry events and conferences.
Technical & Project Delivery Oversight
  • Serve as senior technical authority and advisor for the Business Unit, ensuring all work meets standards for quality and compliance.
  • Oversee staffing and resourcing for projects, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget targets are consistently met.
  • Promote continuous improvement in project management practices, QA/QC, and risk management to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Ensure team members receive timely, constructive appraisal reviews in alignment with the firm’s review cycle.
  • Ensure staff have clear development pathways, access to training, and support for professional licensure, continuing education, and conference attendance.
  • Actively develop succession plans for key roles.
  • Review team staffing needs and work with the People Team to identify hiring needs.
  • Promote a culture of safety by modeling safe work practices, reinforcing safety expectations, and ensuring team members are trained and empowered to prioritize safety in all aspects of their work.

Skills/Knowledge Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering or related field, advanced degree preferred.
  • Registered as a licensed professional or certified in a specialty discipline (preferred, but not required)
  • 10+ years in team leadership & management
  • Proven track record in leading multi‑disciplinary teams, managing P&L, and driving business growth.
