Business Services Manager to lead and develop the teams responsible for customer support, quoting, purchasing, administrative services, and accounting functions.

The Business Services Manager serves as a key leader within the organization, ensuring the smooth operation of the business functions that support our laboratories, engineering teams, customers, and overall company growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, develop, and support teams responsible for accounting, quoting, purchasing and administrative functions.
  • Establish departmental goals, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with company objectives.
  • Ensure timely and accurate customer quotations, purchasing activities, and administrative processes.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, and sales teams to align customer expectations with business capabilities.
  • Monitor departmental performance, customer satisfaction, and key business metrics to drive operational excellence.
  • Oversee budgets, purchasing expenditures, and financial reporting activities within assigned departments.
  • Analyze business processes and implement improvements that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience.
  • Support strategic planning, forecasting, audits, customer visits, and organizational growth initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship is strictly required due to national defense and aerospace compliance requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of leadership or management experience.
  • Experience overseeing administrative, accounting, purchasing, or business operations functions.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make sound decisions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) as well as other organizational/planning tools.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with in manufacturing, engineering services, materials testing, or a technical environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of quoting, purchasing, accounting, and customer relationship management processes preferred.
  • Experience developing KPIs and implementing continuous improvement initiatives preferred.
