McCandless Ford is seeking an experienced, motivated Commercial Vehicle Center Manager to lead our growing Ford Commercial Vehicle Center.
This is a unique opportunity to lead a brand-new, 16-bay commercial truck facility designed to service everything from Ford F-250 pickups to medium-duty and over-the-road commercial trucks

About Our Facility- Brand-new Ford Commercial Vehicle Center
- 16 fully equipped service bays
- Heavy-duty lifts and specialized commercial tooling
- Services Ford Super Duty trucks, chassis cabs, fleet vehicles, medium-duty trucks, and over-the-road commercial vehicles
- Opportunity to build and lead a team of 8–10 commercial technicians
- Strong support from ownership and the Fixed Operations Director

As the Commercial Vehicle Center Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall performance of the department while delivering exceptional customer service, maximizing technician productivity, developing employees, and achieving financial success.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Commercial Service Advisors, Shop Foreman, and Technicians.
- Recruit, hire, and build a high-performing commercial technician team.
- Create a culture focused on accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Drive technician productivity, proficiency, efficiency, and labor sales.
- Monitor departmental financial performance and achieve established goals.
- Forecast departmental objectives and execute plans to exceed them.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial, fleet, municipal, and business customers.
- Work directly with Fleet Managers to develop service strategies that maximize vehicle uptime, minimize downtime, and keep their fleets operating safely and efficiently.
- Communicate proactively with Fleet Managers regarding repair status, maintenance planning, repair recommendations, and scheduling to ensure their vehicles stay on the road.
- Ensure repairs are completed accurately, efficiently, and according to Ford quality standards.
- Minimize comebacks through quality control, technician coaching, and process improvement.
- Oversee warranty administration and ensure compliance with Ford warranty and policy procedures.
- Monitor technician productivity, payroll, efficiency, and departmental performance metrics.
- Partner closely with the Parts Department to improve repair cycle times and maximize parts availability.
- Maintain accurate reporting systems required by dealership leadership and Ford Motor Company.
- Ensure proper care, storage, and inventory of heavy-duty equipment and specialty tools.
- Recommend new equipment and process improvements that increase efficiency and profitability.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant work environment.
- Develop relationships with local technical schools and diesel training programs to recruit future technicians.
- Handle escalated customer concerns professionally while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Follow up on all customer concerns and negative reviews promptly to preserve customer loyalty.
- Partner with the Fixed Operations Director to execute long-term growth strategies for the Commercial Vehicle Center.
- Foster teamwork throughout the dealership and maintain strong working relationships with all departments.

- Ford dealership and/or commercial vehicle experience strongly preferred.
