We are currently partnered with an industry leading organization looking for an Operations Manager to support their Aggregate functions. This position is responsible for driving strategy execution by overseeing and managing operations within a defined market and product line. Key areas of focus include employee productivity, operational efficiency, customer service, and employee retention and satisfaction by fostering a positive work environment.

About the role- Work closely with the General Manager and support teams to develop overall objectives and long-term goals for the region.
- Translate those objectives into measurable goals for the area of responsibility and ensure successful execution of approved strategies.
- Provide direction and oversight to managers to help operations achieve business objectives.
- Support the region in meeting P&L targets by identifying improvement opportunities and collaborating across the region to leverage resources effectively.
- Participate in the preparation of operating budgets.
- Conduct operations reviews to evaluate key cost drivers affecting financial performance.
- Monitor and manage operational volumes, capacity, material usage, inventory data, and other relevant metrics.
- Review financial statements, operating reports, cost reports, and other KPIs to assess productivity, goal achievement, and opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Promote a strong culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
- Maintain safe working conditions and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations in close coordination with the local Safety Manager.
- Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, permit conditions, and environmental requirements in coordination with local stakeholders.
- Develop staffing plans and establish work plans and schedules for projects.
- Oversee personnel management, including recruitment, supervision, disciplinary action, performance reviews, and employment termination when necessary.
- Prioritize staff workloads to meet product needs and operational objectives.
- Develop and train team members to maintain high skill levels.
- Partner with Human Resources on employee development and succession planning initiatives.
- Continuously improve operations by reducing turnaround times, streamlining work processes, and delivering seamless customer service.
- Improve productivity by analyzing KPIs and recommending strategies for enhancement.
- Drive productivity, motivation, and morale within the department.
- Build effective teams and encourage positive, collaborative attitudes that support both company and customer satisfaction.
- Prioritize work and manage time effectively to ensure customer needs, staff training, and administrative responsibilities are met.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies across all work areas.
- Promote a culture of safety through consistent leadership and example.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of equivalent experience
- Preferred Field of Study: Operations Management, Business, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
