Main Responsibilities
- Lead design and delivery of a five-year transformation roadmap to optimize the Global Clinical Development operating model, improve organizational effectiveness, and scale clinical portfolio delivery.
- Develop and present business cases to Vaccine R&D Leadership and the Executive Committee for operational model changes, process simplification, and strategic investments.
- Drive departmental digital strategy by coordinating with functional leaders and digital teams to implement AI-powered tools, track progress, and enable cultural adoption.
- Oversee budget and resource management deliverables/processes; coordinate resource allocation and support hub strategy in India, Budapest, and China.
- Manage the departmental management office: risk mitigation, internal/regulatory audit readiness, training/onboarding, systems access, and communications.
- Lead Strategic External Collaboration specialists to assess, implement, and manage high-impact partnerships with government agencies, healthcare organizations, and industry collaborators.
- Set and monitor departmental objectives/KPIs and initiatives to increase engagement and effectiveness across a multicultural, global team.
- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree (or equivalent) strongly preferred.
- 10+ years progressive business experience in global pharma/biotech/consulting or related field.
- 3+ years people leadership experience.
- Proven transformation leadership in global multicultural scientific/R&D environments.
- Ability to build/present business cases to executive leadership.
- Experience managing global multicultural teams, budgets, and resources across geographies (preferred).
- Familiarity with clinical development operations and digital R&D.
- Strong problem-solving in ambiguity; project/program management.
- Lead through influence in complex matrix organizations.
- Exceptional communication/storytelling for diverse executive audiences.
- High-quality healthcare, prevention/wellness programs, and at least 14 weeks' gender-neutral parental leave.
- Fluent English required; up to 20% domestic/international travel.
